Flynn was 8 days overdue, but he got here. After a 24 hour labour he was born on the 2nd March weighing 7.1 pounds.
I went through the whole pregnancy going through the motions, but not really truly believing I was going to have a baby at the end of it .....yet now that he is here it feels like the most natural thing in the world. We have embraced it all, the nappies, the leaking boobs, the wobbly belly, the broken sleep, getting peed on ...alot. It is the greatest privilege to have him in our life and I never imagined I could be so captivated...and slightly obsessed by this little person.
While it is still early days, Flynn is sleeping and feeding very well and while he has the odd grizzle, it is usually resolved by heading outdoors for a walk or a bit of motion.... We are hoping he continues like this!
I recovered from the birth much quicker than I could have imagined and have been able to start some gradual activity which is worked in around Flynn and what my body will allow me to do at the moment. I am not in any rush, but I have missed the propulsion and rhythm of the swim/bike/run along with the people and everything that goes with the training and competing.
Thank you to our friends, family and sponsors who have given us so much support, I am looking forward to having Flynn join us on our next lot of adventures.
