Sadly Tony Smith passed away on the 15th June 2015. Tony was co-founder of my sponsor Pro-form.
Behind the scenes Tony was a great supporter and sponsor of sport particularly rowing, as well as privately supporting many others. He was a very generous, passionate and thoughtful man who enabled those needing assistance a platform to achieve their goals or pursuits through financial sponsorship or equipment. To be on the receiving end of Tony's generosity is obviously a huge privilege, but also, to have someone believe in your ability and to share your vision and be willing to invest in that is both humbling and hugely motivating.
I will always be thankful to Tony, his family and his business for giving me a chance to have a good crack at pursing and testing my limits through endurance sport.
